About Chris Arias

Voice Whether it's a madcap Joe's Crabshack spot with a shrimp on a treadmill, an epic, iron forging, Lord Of The Rings-esque spot for Rogue fitness or extolling the virtues of all natural male enhancement products, I try to bring a sense of enjoyment to each and every project. Well okay. Some are a stretch. (They don't work, by the way. None of them, dammit. Or so I've heard.) But I digress. I've had some wonderful clients over the years, like Chevrolet, CNN, HGTV, Focus On The Family, Delta and AT&T just to name a few. And I've worked with a couple who were a real pain in the... But let's talk technology for a minute. Studio I operate a full service commercial studio in Atlanta. Audio is always top drawer, on time and on budget. No surprises. For the gear heads among you, my mic of choice is usually a U-87 patched into a Universal Audio LA-610 mic pre. Sometimes I use an AKG C-12, sometimes an SM-7. And sometimes a Neve 1073 pre. Depends on the nature of the spot. Background I've had the good fortune of doing something I love for over twenty years. My mom told me I'd never be able to earn a living running my mouth. It's one of the few times she was happy to be proven wrong. I began my career as a composer and sound designer, writing music and doing audio post production. One day, while working on a broadcast spot for one of my clients, the producer was wanting to make some changes to the copy. They asked if I could record a scratch track. After auditioning three other talents, they decided to keep my read. I got paid twice on that project, which was awesome. The rest is history. I still compose and mix, but VO has become the third ring in the circus. So if you happen to be reading this and need some original music... Ya know. Just sayin’. #Shameless Plug In Closing Since the early days of my career, I have been mentored by some of the best people in the business. Now I pass along what I have learned by mentoring others and teaching VO workshops. In short, I'm a grateful guy with the gift of gab who would love nothing more than to bring something fun and fresh to your next project. Whether you need some deep, subdued gravitas, a professional spokesperson or a friendly and believable guy next door, I'd love a chance to earn your business.
