VoiceMatch™ is now JobMatch™: How We Match Client Jobs to Creative Talent
This post is part of a larger series regarding several new updates to Voices, all related to the official launch of three new creative services: audio production, music, and translation. In addition to this post, you can review the others in the series below, each about new or updated aspects of our marketplace, including:
- an updated Job Posting Form, enabling clients to post audio production, music, and translation jobs;
- a refreshed look and feel for both client and talent Job List and Response pages, and;
- an improved Search, Browse, and Favorites experience.
One of the primary reasons our clients and talent continue to view Voices as their marketplace of choice for voice over is our ability to quickly and accurately match the right talent to a client’s job. Now that we’ve added audio production, music, and translation into the mix, it’s time for our proprietary matching algorithm, VoiceMatchTM, to get an upgrade. Not only have we made some updates to the way VoiceMatchTM works under the hood, but we’re also excited to announce that as of today, VoiceMatchTM has become JobMatchTM.
What is JobMatchTM?
JobMatch™ compares your profile with a client’s job posting. When reviewing your Voices profile, JobMatch™ considers attributes you have entered into your profile and the characteristics of your demos and portfolio samples. When looking at a client’s job posting, JobMatchTM considers the list of talent attributes the client has indicated they are looking for on that particular job. The more attributes that match your profile and the client’s job posting, the higher your JobMatch™ score, out of 100, will be for that job.
More Than Just a New Name
We’re moving forward with JobMatchTM not only because it better reflects the fact that clients and talent can now post and work jobs for creative services beyond voice, but also because we’re making changes to how JobMatchTM works to accommodate the new skills clients look for in talent when hiring for non-voice over jobs.
Want to Learn More?
We’re constantly evaluating the effectiveness of our approach to matching talent to jobs and how we score the quality of that match. In the coming months, we’ll have more news about some planned improvements to JobMatchTM for voice over, specifically around languages and accents.
In the meantime, if you want to learn more about this topic, we encourage you to check out our Talent Profiles FAQ article, as well as this one specifically about JobMatchTM. As always, if you have questions, you can contact a member of our Customer Support Team at any time via our support page.
