What exactly is social login and sign up?

Social login and sign up allows you to use your information from Google to sign up for a Voices account or, if you're an existing member, to connect your existing Voices account to a Google account if you wish to.
 

Why would I want to use social login and sign up?

Using Google to sign up or log in means that your information is pre-verified. While this won't make a huge difference if you already have a Voices account, signing up this way is an easy option if you're new to Voices.

Do I have to use social login or sign up?

Not at all. If you're more comfortable filling out our short registration form when you sign up, that's just fine. If you change your mind, you can always add the social login option later. We want to give our users more options, not fewer! For returning users logging in, clients can log in using an email address and password, and talent can log in with an email address/password or a username/password.
 

What information do I have to provide when signing up with Voices?

Signing up with Voices is easy. You can click the Sign Up button from the top-right of any page on our website. You'll be taken to a simple form that asks for your full name, an email address, and a password, or the option to Continue with Google. Talent users will then be asked for a mailing address. Those who use the traditional sign up method will also see a verity email screen. Those who use Google sign up will not.
 

I already have a Voices account through social sign up, do I need to do anything?

No, you're all set! Keep in mind you can always change this in your account settings.
 

How do I connect social login information?

In your account settings, you'll see a section called Connected Services and the option to Sign in with Google. After you've clicked on this, a modal will open in settings with Google's 'Choose an account' selector, and you can select the Google account you wish to use for social login. Once you've made this selection, you'll be returned to the settings screen and see a success banner letting you know your account has been connected.
 

How do I delete my social login information?

In your account settings, you'll see a section called Connected Services. When you sign up with social sign up your account will show here as a connected service. You have the option via the Disconnect button to disconnect your account from Google social login at any time.

When you click on the Disconnect button, you'll be taken to a confirmation modal explaining what happens should you proceed with disconnecting your Google account. If you choose, 'Yes, Disconnect,' you'll be asked to enter a password to use for your Voices account once you've disconnected your Google account. After you've clicked 'Submit,' you'll be returned to your account settings and see a success banner confirming your account has been disconnected. You can reconnect at any time.

Quick Tip: The email address you used for Google Sign Up will continue to be the one you use to log in to your account and you will use that and the password you created to log in going forward. 
 

I can't access my social login - what should I do?

If you're unable to access your social login information, you'll need to contact Google to address the account that is tied to that information. If you are unable to access your Voices account, you can contact support at [email protected]
